Frequently asked questions

Thirty answers covering design, branding, video, pricing, turnaround, files and support. If yours is not here, message us and we will add it.

Graphic design

How many logo concepts do I get?

Three distinct directions on the Professional plan and above, two on Starter. Each one is presented in context on stationery, signage and a screen so you can judge it as a brand rather than as a drawing.

Do you design for print as well as screen?

Yes. We supply press-ready artwork with correct bleed, crop marks, CMYK conversion and a PDF/X export, and we will liaise with your printer directly if it helps.

Can you work from an existing brand guideline?

Often that is the easiest brief we get. Send the guidelines and we will work inside them, flagging anything that will not hold up in a format the document did not anticipate.

Do you do packaging dielines?

We do. We work to your manufacturer's template, or we will request one on your behalf and build the artwork around it.

What software do you design in?

Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Figma. Source files are supplied in whichever of those suits your team.

Branding

What is included in a brand identity project?

Positioning, a primary logo and its variants, colour system, typography, a graphic language, application examples and a written guideline document your team can follow without us.

How long does a full rebrand take?

Typically five to eight weeks for a single-market brand. Multi-brand or regulated sectors take longer, and we will say so in the scope before you commit.

Can you help with naming?

We support naming as part of a strategy engagement, including shortlisting and initial availability checks. We are not trade mark attorneys and will tell you when to speak to one.

Will you register my trade mark?

No, but we will prepare the artwork in the formats the UK IPO requires and recommend an attorney if you need one.

What if we already have a logo we like?

Then we keep it. A lot of our branding work is building the missing system around a logo that was doing all the work on its own.

Video editing

What formats do you deliver in?

MP4 H.264 as standard, plus ProRes masters on request. Every edit is delivered in the aspect ratios you need: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5.

Do you write the script?

For explainers and commercials, yes, and we sign the script off before animation or editing begins. For vlog and podcast content, we edit what you send.

Can you add subtitles and captions?

Yes, burned-in or as an SRT file, in English as standard. Other languages are quoted per project.

Do you supply the music?

We licence tracks from commercial libraries and pass the licence to you. If you have a preferred library or an existing licence, we will use that instead.

How do I send you footage?

Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer or a shared folder we set up for you. For large ongoing volumes we usually create a dated folder structure and you drop files in.

Do you colour grade?

Every edit gets a grade. On retainers we build a LUT for your brand so everything you publish matches.

Pricing and payment

How much does a project cost?

Single projects start at £490. Monthly plans start at £1,190. Everything is quoted in writing before work begins, and the number does not move unless the brief does.

Do you take a deposit?

Projects are 50% upfront and 50% on delivery. Monthly plans are billed at the start of each cycle.

What payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer, card and direct debit for UK clients. International clients can pay by transfer or card in GBP.

Are there any hidden costs?

Only stock assets, licensed fonts and print production, which we always quote separately and only buy with your written approval.

Turnaround and process

How fast is the first draft?

Design concepts land in three to five working days. Standard edits and single assets turn around in 48 hours.

Can you handle urgent work?

Yes, same-day turnaround is included on the Business plan and available elsewhere at a surcharge agreed in advance.

Who will I be dealing with?

A named project manager, plus direct access to the designer or editor on your account. No ticket queue.

What time zone do you work in?

We are in London on GMT/BST and hold hours that overlap with clients in Europe, the Gulf and North America.

Files, copyright and support

Who owns the finished work?

You do. Full ownership transfers to you on final payment, including source files, and we will confirm that in writing on request.

Can you show my project in your portfolio?

Only if you agree. Plenty of our work stays unpublished at the client's request and that is never a problem.

What file formats will I receive?

Vector logos in AI, EPS, SVG and PDF; raster in PNG and JPG at multiple sizes; video in MP4 with masters on request; print in PDF/X.

How many revisions do I get?

Unlimited inside the agreed scope. If a revision changes the brief, we requote before doing the work rather than after.

What support is there after delivery?

Thirty days of free minor edits, and we keep your project files archived for at least three years in case you need something reissued.

Do you sign NDAs?

Routinely. Send yours over or use ours.
